Phoenix, Arizona (February 27, 2015) - The statewide adoption of the e-IEP PRO as Arizona's special education student data and forms management system gained significant momentum with Peoria Unified School District (PUSD) and Vail School District (VSD) selecting the e-IEP PRO to manage their special education programs via a Request for Proposal (RFP) competitive process.
Peoria Unified School District Gives e-IEP PRO the Highest Score:
At the end of 2014, PUSD released an RFP seeking proposals for a Web Based IEP Management System. Starting in January of this year, a PUSD selection committee consisting of special education, information technology and procurement team members independently reviewed and scored each submitted proposal using the evaluation criteria that was specified within the RFP. Among other offers, the district evaluated proposals from SEAS, Edupoint and the e-IEP PRO. In completing their review, the e-IEP PRO proposal was scored 619 points (out of 6000) higher than any other submitted offer/proposal. The top two scoring firms were invited to demonstrate their programs. The MediaNet team provided a demonstration of the e-IEP PRO to the evaluation committee on February 9th. The evaluation committee recommended to the PUSD board that a single award be made to "the most responsive, responsible and highest scoring firm, MediaNet Solutions".
Spanning much of the Northwest Valley, the Peoria Unified School District is one of the largest school districts in Arizona and prides itself on excelling schools, award-winning teachers, high state assessment test scores, career and technical education programs, specialized Signature Programs and championship athletic programs. The district serves more than 37,000 students in 34 elementary schools, seven high schools and one non-traditional high school.
Vail School District Unanimously Recommends the e-IEP PRO :
In November 2014, VSD released an RFP seeking proposals for an IEP Web-Based Management Program. The district received responses from the following vendors: e-IEP PRO, Seas, Synergy/Edupoint, and Pearson. Based on the scores of the five VSD evaluation committee members (per the RFP criteria), the committee members unanimously recommended that the e-IEP PRO be awarded the contract.
The Vail School District, located southeast of Tucson, is widely recognized as a leader in innovative and effective use of technology in PK-12 and teacher education. The Arizona Department of Education recognized Vail as the top-performing school district for two consecutive years in a row and has won countless awards and been highlighted across the country. VSD is comprised of 18 individual schools and along with its traditional schools, VSD has four charter schools, a blended learning center, and an online homeschool partnership. VSD has approximately 12,000 students are currently enrolled in grades K-12.
The e-IEP PRO Approach:
In making the switch, the e-IEP PRO team will work collaboratively with both PUSD and VSD staff to:
(1) Establish a fully automated, hands-free, comprehensive data interface with the district's Synergy SIS and Powerschool SIS;
(2) Load historical data and forms from their current SPED software into the e-IEP PRO;
(3) Create the capabilities to share and transfer data and forms with ~327 Arizona LEAs;
(4) Customize and configure the e-IEP PRO to the unique needs of the district;
(5) Provide training to special education and related services staff at the district.
A 100 percent web-based product, the e-IEP PRO is an interoperable special education student data and forms management system. The e-IEP PRO addresses the diverse needs of special education students with functionality for every stakeholder: administrators, case managers, evaluators, service providers, teachers, counselors, parents, and students.
